For years, thousands of seeds remain hidden in the sand, waiting for the right conditions. When enough rain falls\u2014this year particularly in Huasco Province and along the coastal areas\u2014the desert awakens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Experts from CONAF (Chile\u2019s National Forest Corporation) have already confirmed that the flowering season will take place between September and November, with its peak in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Unique Flowers of Northern Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">More than 200 species will bloom almost simultaneously. Some of the most iconic are the a\u00f1a\u00f1uca lilies, the delicate pata de guanaco, and the vibrant garra de le\u00f3n.
